About the Registry
AU Trademark Index provides access to trade mark information through an independently maintained search portal. It is not an official government registry, and inclusion does not establish legal registration.
Registry Overview
This portal supports the search and retrieval of trade mark information through a structured digital database. Records are entered manually or imported from information the operator is authorised to use; no official API or automated scraping is used.
Trademark Records
Users can search recorded trade mark words, numbers, descriptions and ownership information. The collection is not complete; a missing result does not indicate that a trade mark is available.
Registration Information
Registration numbers, dates and status descriptions reflect the information recorded. Administrator approval permits publication in this portal; it is not government verification. Only records verified against a reliable source may be described as verified.
Classification System
Records use Nice Classification classes 1–45 to organise goods and services. Classes 1–34 cover goods and classes 35–45 cover services.
Goods and Services
Descriptions are recorded against individual classes. A class number alone does not establish the scope of protection.
Ownership Information
Available records may include owner names and an address for service. Missing ownership information is not inferred.
Record Management
Public submissions remain private until an authorised administrator approves publication. Administrative access is separate, with permissions governing review, editing and publication.
Publications and Notices
Record detail pages display available endorsements, opposition information, history and publications. Dates and events are shown only when recorded; no official publication is inferred.
