Privacy

This page describes the handling of information within the AU Trademark Index submission and publication workflow.

Information You Submit

Trade mark submissions may contain owner names, addresses for service, logos and goods and services descriptions. Provide only information you are authorised to submit, and avoid unnecessary personal or sensitive information.

Private Review and Public Records

Pending submissions are private and reviewed by authorised administrators. If approved, submitted record information may become visible in public search and detail pages. Consider whether owner and address information is appropriate for publication before submitting.

Access and Security

Administrator access is restricted by permissions. Submission receipts allow private progress checks; keep your receipt details confidential. The service uses anti-abuse checks and records administrative changes for accountability.

Corrections and Privacy Concerns

To flag inaccurate or inappropriate information in a published record, use Report a concern on that record. Do not include confidential information in the report unless it is necessary for review.
